Groblersdal

Mpumalanga

Groblersdal was proclaimed a town in 1938. The town was laid out in response to the completion of the Loskop dam irrigation scheme and is situated inside the second largest irrigation scheme is South Africa. The town was laid out on the farm 'Klipbank' and named after the owner of the farm, W.J.Grobler who played a large part in the creation of the Loskop irregation scheme.
